Handbags: A Labor of Love

Jean, the owner of DELCINA, looooves handbags. Shoes too, but that's a whole different ballgame!

She reminisces about her first $100+ bag (a leather tote from The Tannery on Broadway (downtown New York)). She used to pass by the store to-and-from NYU Business School and the train station. The hunter green distressed leather was thick with strength while beautifully treated for smoothness. Now 15 years later, she still has that good-looking tote, looking better than ever. Funny thing, her little one's now using it to lug books to-and-from the library.

A handbag doesn't have to be so serious as to "define" you. Jean does believe, however, that bags must satisfy a practical need as much as be an accessory. Something needs to hold the cell/pda, hunka wallet, keys, eye drops, lipstick, water bottle, snacks, magical toys...why not look good at the same time!

So it's not surprising that DELCINA is launching its own line of handbags. Function, style and sophistication flow through each design, expectedly!
